from the things we are unable to say
to the people who can not hear
Maybe the person feels dangerous to us
or has passed on
Maybe the person is too fragile
or the risk too great

But not so the Empty Chair
The Empty Chair hears everything
Accepts all
Judges nothing
On behalf of the people who can not receive
It lightens the burdens we carry
Freeing us
Liberating our vitality
that was stuck by what could not be said
Only when the business is finished
are we able to truly move on
